Phase 2 — High School Tour (ISJ Iași)

Format per school: 45-min presentation + live AI demo + Q&A + club registration. One school per week, April–May in Iași, final visits + Tg. Frumos in May–June.

Note: this tour runs in parallel with the university tour — student volunteers from Phase 1 can join the high school presentation teams
Deliverables: 20+ interested students per school · 50+ pre-registrations for summer sessions · social media content from every visit

Jun 26 — Kickoff & final team formation. Hackathon rules, program goals, meet the mentors
Jul 3 — Intro to AI & ML: core concepts, essential tools, real-world use cases
Jul 10 — Advanced prompt engineering + AI for productivity and learning
Jul 17 — AI in medicine & science · guest mentor from UMF / research
Jul 24 — Project vision pitch: each team presents their idea, mentor and peer feedback
July–August · building, refining & pitching
Jul 31 — Prototyping: no-code & low-code AI tools (Bubble, Make, Hugging Face, v0)
Aug 7 — Design thinking & UX for AI solutions. Building for real users
Aug 14 — Mid-program demo day: teams present progress, feedback from peers and mentors
Aug 21 — AI ethics, bias, responsibility. Storytelling and final pitch construction
Aug 28 — Full pitch rehearsal + final mentor feedback. Last polish before the finals
11 sessions · ~3h each · fixed venue in Iași · full program completed before the start of the school and academic year · sessions recorded online for members from other cities
Phase 4 — Project Judging & Awards
September 4, 2026
Public presentations — each team: 7-min pitch + 5-min Q&A in front of the jury and invited audience
Mixed jury — mentors, corporate partners, ISJ Iași, UMF, and local authorities
Evaluation criteria: AI innovation 30% · social impact 25% · feasibility 25% · presentation 20%
Awards: top 3 teams awarded · participation certificates for all · qualifying teams invited to November Hackathon
Public event · one week before schools reopen · livestreamed · documented for press and funders · key PR moment for the 2027 edition
Phase 5 — Intensive Hackathon Preparation
September 5 – November 12, 2026
Qualifying teams enter an intensive program: 4 dedicated technical sessions held on weekends, without disrupting school schedules
1-on-1 mentoring with industry professionals, scheduled per team, weekly online check-ins
24h mock hackathon — full simulation with internal judging (October weekend)
Members return to school/university in September — all preparation activities are held exclusively on weekends
AI Hackathon Iași — flagship event
November 13–15, 2026
48h non-stop — AI Club teams compete alongside participants from across Romania
